Prior to joining Fenway Partners, Mr. Smiedt was a Senior Associate at Lightyear Capital, a middle-market private equity firm based in New York. While at Lightyear, Mr. Smiedt sourced, evaluated, negotiated and closed numerous deals in the leasing, insurance and banking sectors. Prior to Lightyear Capital, Mr. Smiedt was an Associate with J.H. Whitney & Co. and an analyst with DB Alex. Brown.
Mr. Smiedt received a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. from Stanford University.
